L'ORÉAL PARIS LIP PAINT MATTE REVIEW

It was all exciting times last weekend when I popped into my local Superdrug store. I love a Matte lipstick product so when I saw the new L'Oréal lip paint shades in shades that were more me (if you know what I mean) I had to buy them. I already had the shade 201 Hollywood beige and after I bought it I never used it because it was not a shade I liked on my lips. I normally like beige shades but this one was more of a redy tone so it got put in a draw.
The two new shades that I had to try are 211 Babe in and 209 nude on fleek.
Both are beautiful shades and are very similar when on the lips even if the swatches look very different and completely nothing like Hollywood beige ( which isn't any bit beige at all).
But it's not all about the colour it's how they last on the lips. So I had to do the day test.
These cost £6.99 so they aren't my normal cheap product price so they have to be good. Right?..
Firstly let's look at the packaging..
Now I completely love it and even though a tube isn't everyone's cup of tea, it's so mine and I love it and reminds me of the juicy tubes of years ago from Lancome. ( now I am showing my age here).
The tube feels lightweight and not cheap looking at all.

The wand on the product is very easy to use and it's at an angle so you gets lots of product when applied. I applied two coats to give me a complete Matte look.
When first applied it doesn't look Matte and I was worried I had picked up the shiny gloss version of the product instead but it doesn't take long for it to dry Matte.
It never truly sets either so it's very comfortable to wear ( I love a Matte lip but hate the ones that set to a very dry formula).

My favourite out of the three is 209 nude on fleek so that's the one I did my day test with and was very excited to try that one first.
Now I always like to do my tests on a work day as I seem to forget I'm trying something new and don't constantly find myself checking my face (unless it's a mascara just in case I end up with the Alice Cooper look.. not that there's anything wrong with Alice Cooper but no one what's there Makeup to look like that at work)

I can honestly say that it remained comfortable all morning but definitely needed reapplying after a cup of tea as it had faded by dinner time. But it did fade well and very even and could easily be retouched at dinnertime. The same could be said about the afternoon and at around 4o clock it would have needed to be reapplied but I didn't bother as I wasn't going out for the evening. All in all if it was going to get me though 12 hours it would have needed to be reapplied twice so I was very impressed.

The colour is definitely my favourite liquid Matte lip product I have tried in a long time and I would definitely repurchase.( infact if they are on a 3 for 2 I would get the darker Matte shade that I didn't think I would have the confidence to wear but I might after all.. if I do I will let you know)

If you have tried any of these lip products leave in the comments if you loved them as much as me.
If you don't already please follow me on twitter @juelookblog as I would love to hear from you.
