HOW I HELP MY SKIN HYPERPIGMENTION

Hiya again and thank you for stopping by. I thought I would write a blog post of one of my face/skin woes my Hyperpigmention and how I am trying to find products that help fade and cover up the problem.
I haven't been suffering this problem for long and this is the first year that it's really started to effect my self confidence. So with the help of a few products I have recently discovered  I have managed to control the problem and conceal it.
Skin pigmentation can come in many forms such as Freckles, Age Spots and Discoloured Skin.. The most common is Hyperpigmention which can be caused by Injury, Inflammation, Hormonal Changes (caused by Melasma) or in my case Sun Damage.
Now I know this is my own fault. I am the first to admit I am a sun worshipper but I do always wear a foundation with an SPF but this doesn't seem to make much of a difference in my case. It's made me really stop and think about sun damage and now I don't go out of the house without an extra SPF product on my face under my foundation.
Because the Hyperpigmention is on my face it's so easy to spot and does make me paranoid that it looks like I have two black eyes ( I've even been asked which is never a good thing)  and worried I will be like this forever. My first thought was stick some concealer over it and I should be ok but how wrong could I be. Because my concealer is yellow based it seemed to highlight the problem more and wearing a highlighter on my cheeks makes it stand out big time.
With this in mind rather than just covering up the problem I thought I would try and find products that help to fade the darker patches.
Knowing that Glycoloic acid can help I have been raiding my bathroom cupboards for products containing this ingredient and it's become my new best friend.
I have always loved the SUPERDRUG NATURALLY RADIANT GLYCOLIC ACID DAILY CLEANSING PADS £5.99 and even though I haven't used them for a while I have recently started using them again
With the promises to, awaken skins natural glow and improves skin tone and texture I thought it was definitely worth a try again and find these have seem to fade my darker patches. They certainly have made my skin brighter and a little bit clearer. The pads, as well as containing Glycolic acid ( my new favourite ingredient and a powerful hydroxyl acid) contains fruit acids and Aloe Vera which I do think helps as
I have also been loving SUPERDRUG CLEARLY YOUTHFUL RETEXTURISING GLYCOLIC PEEL OFF MASK. Now this is a 2 in 1 anti-blemish and anti ageing and should be used a couple of times a week. The idea here is to use it as a full face mask, leave it on for 10 mins then peel off. I love how this makes my skin feel after I have used this and I like to think this and the wipes are playing a big part in clearing my skin up and helping my darker patches fade and my fine lines less noticeable.

Now to conceal. My usual concealer just wasn't cutting it and while it's perfect for under my eyes it's makes my pigmentation look worse so I needed to find something else.

So I decided to try the MUA PRO-BASE PRIME & CONCEAL CORRECTING CREAM in the shade CC peach. At £3 these are brilliant and such a good price for such a good product. They are available in 3 different shades, peach, yellow and green. These type of colour correcting concealers are very popular at the moment and the peach tone is perfect for my deep skin tones and neutralise my dark circles. They are perfect to add under foundation so my dark pigmentation isn't as noticeable as it normally would be.
With the later months of the years approaching hopefully the pigmentation will fade and I can repair the damage already done or failing that I have my trusty MUA concealer.
If you have any tips or cheap treatments for pigmentation please let me know as I would love to hear.
Happy Concealer Shopping
