FEBRUARY FAVOURITES!

February 28, 2018

THE HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO MY BLOG EDITION!

Hi there you lovely lot.. thank you for stopping by..
Well this year is flying by don’t we think?  I can’t believe that February is nearly over and we are another month closer to the warm summer months in the UK. Which is really hard to believe as more Snow has been forecast and it’s snowing as I’m writing this but a girl can dream about warmer weather can’t I....(I’m not a winter person)
I hope February has been a good month for you and life has been treating you kindly.
I just want to take this opportunity to wish my blog a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Yes on 28th February this blog will be one year old! ( from when I started up again on Blogger not from when I first started on Web Eden about 3 years ago but we won’t talk about that)!
The blog has come a long way and when I look back at my first post, which I will link below it makes me cringe at the photos.

So if you want a little read before I delete it please feel free. Anyway on with today’s post.......
This month I have been loving and trying lots of new things and a lot of old favourites which I really wanted to share with you all.
Please forgive me if they have been favourites before and I will try not to repeat myself but you know what I’m like if I love something I have to keep talking about it and if I try something new and I don’t like it we never speak about it again.
Firstly I’m going to start off with my favourite thing to talk about “Makeup”.
I have been loving the BARRY M LIQUID CHROME HIGHLIGHTER DROPS £6.99. These are brilliant and I hate to say a tiny bit better than the Revolution ones. They last and I have done a previous post about these so I will link it below.

I would definitely repurchase this in different shades and repurchase this shade again in a heartbeat and considering I never used to bother with highlighter at all I wouldn’t be without this one now.
I am also loving the BARRY M NAIL VARNISH it’s definitely the best drugstore nail varnish and prices can vary between £2.99 to £3.99. It lasts such a long time with very little chipping.
I have talked about the RIMMEL STAY MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICKS £5.99 before and even did a blog post about them. They have released a few new shades and this one has to be my new favourite lipstick at the moment. It’s the shade Fatal Kiss and it’s the best so far. They feel very comfortable on the lips and even though they don’t last as long as some products they definitely are long lasting and very comfortable..

I am loving the REVOLUTION CONCEAL AND DEFINE Concealer £4 at the moment. It’s sells out really fast online but if you’re quick you can pick one up. It covers like nothing else and because I do suffer with troubled skin (aka spots) it’s perfect to cover up all blemishes and I would definitely repurchase over and over again..

I am completely into the COLLECTION PRIMED AND READY PRIMER £3.99 at the moment.Infact I have been enjoying a few of the base Collection products from the range. I have never been a fan of Primer before until I really wanted my Max  Factor foundation not to go darker by dinnertime and I thought using a primer might help. It did but I have since kept using it with every foundation and now include it into my everyday makeup routine. I am really enjoying it and I really want to try different primers and try more. this once is only £3.99 and a little goes a very long way.

Having not been to Primark at all in January I decided to makeup for it in February. I am obsessed with the whole PS beauty range they have in there. I spend more time looking at the makeup than I do at the clothes. I always spend ages looking at the products and popping them into my little basket. I did actually go in looking for this palette as I had seen it online and at £4 it’s a real beauty bargain. I’ve done a post about it so will leave you the link below.

Primark as a whole shop has to be a favourite of mine except for Superdrug of course. I did manage to pick up a few items of clothing while I was there, including these buckle studded star boots for £3. I love it when Primark have little bargains like these, you know the items where people ask you how much your boots were  you can say £3 and they can’t believe it. I do believe I’m probably a little bit too old to wear them but who cares! I love them!!!
Me and half the country have loved watching the film THE GREATEST SHOWMAN. It was released just before Christmas but didn’t really take off till this year. The soundtrack is amazing and I think it’s safe to say I now know all the words. You can be randomly doing something and one of the songs pops up in your head and you can’t get it out of your head again. It comes out on DVD in March so I think I’m going to be at the front of the queue to get a copy.

Now onto skincare and this month I’ve been loving the NATURALLY RADIANT range again. The tonic was gifted but I use the range anyway and it’s on offer at the moment. My skin is so problematic at the moment and these products both seem to help it. I wouldn’t be without them in my beauty routine. I have talked about the pads before and how they helped my pigmentation last summer and I can’t talk highly enough about the range. I will leave the link below just in case you didn’t catch the post.

I’m always dying my hair ( yes I’m not a natural brunette sort of a mousy brown) my roots come though really quick as well so I need a dye that won’t wreak my hair.
I have probably tried most brands of colour that is on the market at the moment. I always buy the one that’s on offer . I find the LOREAL PREFERENCE £6 ones are the best for my hair and my hair even feels in better condition than it did before. I’m not sure if the same could be said for the blonde shades but for darker hair this is my favourite.

I do enjoy using body mists and the ones I have been enjoying this month are BODY FANTASIES IN
TWILIGHT MIST £ 1.98( on an offer)
https://www.superdrug.com/Body-Fantasies/Body-Fantasies-Perfume-Body-Spray-Twilight-Mist/p/619002
Sadly the offer is over now but they are really good value and are very long lasting.

I picked up the SO.....? SHEER ILLUSION after being gifted the gift set at Christmas and I knew I had to buy more. This was in the sale so the fragrance cost me £3.49 and the body mist was £1.99. It’s a beautiful light perfume and even though it’s not as long lasting as some fragrances it’s great to have as a top up during the day.
What have you been enjoying this month? Please leave a comment.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and here’s to another year of blogging!
Until next time
