SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY WITH FACETHEORY
May 28, 2022Facetheory, stand for beauty that is sustainable, affordable, cruelty-free and 100% vegan products that deliver real results. The whole concept of the brand is simple. It’s just a clean skincare range with natural formulas that include carefully selected botanical ingredients such as green tea and chamomile, which, in combination with highly effective active substances such as retinol, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, guarantee great results and are available at an affordable price.
This is a 100% vegan brand that does not use plastic packaging. All products are provided in amber glass jars with aluminum lids or 100% aluminum tubes that are easy to dispose, recycle or wash out and use again! In fact the packaging looks so amazing on your shelf or bathroom (not that this is important but it helps!)
So the brand kindly gifted me three of their popular products for my skin type and concerns. These are the
The products are available to buy individually or you could choose to buy the Regenacalm Anti-ageing Set which contains all three items. This works out better value and you know I’m a bit of a bargain hunter. CLICK HERE! The set is perfect if you are looking out for a new routine for tackling multiple signs of sun damage for mature, dry and combination skin types.
So I’ve been using these products for a couple of weeks or so and I have to say I’m impressed.
To be honest the brand is right up my street anyway. I love the brands values, packaging and the formulas.
So let me tell you all about the products and how I got on with them. I’m going to start off with the cleanser.
This is a gentle cleanser which is packed with Vitamin C, Sweet Almond Oil and Avocado to hydrate and brighten the skin while removing makeup, surface oils and impurities.
The cleanser Vitamin C Cleanser is a pleasure to use. It’s available in two different versions. One is scented and the other is unscented. I have the unscented version which is great if you enjoy using unscented products. It’s so good at removing mascara (even waterproof) and dissolves all your makeup clean away. In fact I have to admit it’s one of the nicest cleansers that I’ve used.
I love the fact that my skin looks so much clearer and fresher when using this product and you only need the smallest amount of product for a full face clean.
If you are worried about ageing then you are going to need to know about the next product. The Regenacalm is a really Lightweight serum with retinol ester (2%), hyaluronic acid and extracts of dill and liquorice that diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and defends against environmental damage.
This product is to be used before your moisturiser. Because it contains Retinol it is recommended that you build it up before nightly use and if you use this in the day it’s recommended that you use a sunscreen. I tend to stick to Retinol products in the evening to avoid the whole sun exposure issue. I was really impressed with this one. It leaves my skin looking and feeling so nice and soft. With no irritation it’s safe to use around your eye area (this is my main concern with wrinkles) and a little goes a long way. I love the pump bottle for convenience and it only gives you the right amount of product needed. I found that a couple of pumps was enough for my whole face.
I found it to be a lovely consistency as it wasn’t too runny like some products can be when in a pump but not too thick to run off your face. It absorbed really nicely and is perfect to wear under makeup and feels quite cooling to the skin, making it feel really comfortable. What I did notice about it is it’s unscented. To be honest I was concerned that because it contained Liquorice it might smell like a Liquorice Allsorts, but it doesn’t. It’s suitable for all skin types as well and even though I’ve only been using this product for a couple of weeks I do think it’s really helping the look of my skin. I think the texture of my skin has really improved as well as my fine lines and my skin generally seems like it’s a lot smoother. Definitely one to try if you are worried about ageing skin.
So now onto the last product that I want to talk to you about. The Whipped mousse moisturiser with SPF 30 hydrates and defends against UV damage without any white cast. It contains 5% niacinamide and dual action vitamin C.
So…. I love love love the texture of this product It soaks into your skin really well with no residue. It dries to a Matt base so would make a perfect base for your makeup. It’s not greasy at all and makes your face feel super soft, smooth and with a bit of a glow which I enjoyed. I love the fact that it contains an SPF of 30. This is really important to me in a moisturising product. It also smells amazingly of grapefruits! It’s the perfect summer skincare fragrance. In fact all skincare products should smell like this one. There is an unscented version of this product as well just in case scented products aren’t for you.
If you are keen to try out the products. I have included the links to everything in this post! At the moment the brand have many offers on the website but I do have a friends and family code for 30% off your first order. It’s C4NG7 . (This code works at the time of going to press.)
Until next time
