So I’m back doing what a love the best. Sitting outside writing blogposts. Now the warmer weather is here I can think of no better way than spending lockdown in the garden.
These are such dark times and it feels like no one has told the weather this morning.
So today I wanted to talk about some exciting products that I’ve been kindly gifted from African Extracts.
Last month I was kindly gifted the brands Creamy Cleanser to try out. I loved it so much and it’s been a staple item in my skincare routine everyday since. So when the brand asked me if I wanted to try out more of their range I was so excited I had to say yes.
If you missed that post I will link it below and give you a little recap about the brand.
African Extracts Rooibos is an affordable natural skincare range that mixes together the science of contemporary skincare with the proven efficacy of natural plant extracts.
The company has been created by beauty expert and award winning beauty editor Sarah Hetherington in her home of Cape Town in 2002.
SA- Beauty is the latest beauty import to reach the UK with the key ingredient of both the Classic and the Advanced ranges being antioxidant rich Rooibos extract. This extract has been grown naturally in the rugged Cederberg Mountains of South Africa. The therapeutic power of the Rooibos plant has been known for centuries for its healing and soothing properties. The brand believes in the power of nature to bring amazing skincare results.
There are two collections available in the UK. The classic collection for normal and combination skin and the Advantage section for dry and mature skins.
The Classic collection forms the foundation of the brand with an effective range of everyday cleanse, tone, wash and moisturising products. Where as the Advantage range has been specially formulated to keep skin, young, radiant and smooth.

So the company kindly sent me over some exciting products to try out from the Classic collection. This range is for people with combination skin like myself. It’s the brands best selling skincare and is suitable for most ages and skin conditions.
The range is full of bio active Rooibos, soothing chamomile and vitamin E.
Like the Advantage collection all the products smell completely amazing. They all have such a unique fragrance. It’s not overbearing and smells quite comforting if that makes sense.
As soon as you open the packaging you can smell the fragrance it’s so amazing.
All the products, except the hand cream focus on facial cleansing, toning and moisturising and gives you plenty of options to chose from.
Now if you want an award winning product this one is perfect. This cleanser won the Woman and Home beauty award for 2020.
It’s a gentle foaming cleanser that removes impurities and makeup leaving your skin feeling refreshed and amazing. It’s full of Bio Active Rooibos and Vitamin B5 to condition your skin.
It removes even heavy eye makeup without stinging or irritation and definitely makes your skin feel and look amazing.
This toner is another little skin wonder. It contains Witch Hazel and helps to minimise pores and balance your skin.
It’s contains Bio Active Rooibos extract that help to counter the effects of environmental stress.
The product for the best results is to be used twice a day after cleansing to leave you skin looking refreshed and amazing.
Now I don’t know about you but I love a good facial scrub. It’s an amazing way of removing dead skin cells and surface impurities. I tend to steer clear of the ones with synthetic micro beads though as I do worry about bits of plastic in my skincare. This one ticks all the boxes. It again contains bio active Rooibos leaves with Apricot Kernels to gently remove dead skin cells and surface impurities to leave your skin feeling clean, smooth and soft.
It’s ideal to use once a week or as and when it’s needed to make your skin look all glowy and amazing.

If you suffer with combination skin like me we still need a good moisturiser for our dryer patches.
This one is a very light texture product that is to be used daily. It’s so light, soft and non greasy and is easily absorbed. It contains SPF 15 for effective sun protection and can be used under makeup without making your face look shiny. Again it contains Bio Active Rooibos this time with Vitamin E to help protect the skin against environmental aggressors.
If you feel like a bit of a treat at bedtime this product might be perfect for you. As well as Bio Active Rooibos this product contains Vitamin A and Vitamin E to help to nourish and restore your skin as you sleep. It also contains Jojoba Seed Oil which mimics the skins own natural lipids making your skin feel smooth and supple.
I love the fact that both the day and the night cream products come in a tube rather than a pot. This I find makes them easier to use and more hygienic.
If like me you have really dry hands at the moment you definitely need this product in your life. The hand cream can be used as and when is needed for hands as well as nails. As well as the Bio Active Rooibos this product contains Chamomile and Vitamin E. It soaks into your hands really well without being sticky and hands feel super soft after use.
The brand have kindly donated 200 of these to the NHS Ambulance Service this month at such an important time. As well as this kindness for every Hand and Nail cream that is sold this month ( April) The brand are donating another one to the NHS so what better reason to purchase one for this good cause.

Instead of leaving links to each of the products I have left the link for the whole Classic collection range. This way you can have a little look at all the products for yourself and read the 5 star reviews that the brand have received.

There is also a chance to get 10% off your first order when you sign up with an email.
