ELF HAUL AND REVIEW

This week I have been uber excited about finding that Superdrug now sell ELF cosmetics.
I have heard so much about the range so I'm very excited to try all the products.
ELF or Eyes,Lips and Face is based in New York and is widely available in America so it's great news that we can get it in the Uk now in Superdrug.
I picked up four of the products ( I would have picked up more but there's always another day).
Now I don't know about you but I love a new beauty stand, where everything is all shiny and new and none of the testers have been tried, so you can imagine how much I was in beauty heaven and I hadn't even tried anything.
Firstly let's look at the packaging. It's beautiful and would be worthy of a more expensive luxe brand.
One product I was excited to try was a Brow product. (it takes a lot for my non existent brows) and I picked up the LOCK LINER AND BROW CREAM. I chose the shade Medium Brown as even though I have dark hair I don't like my brows to look too harsh. The cream claims it's waterproof and it can be used as a eyeliner and eyeshadow as well as a brow cream. This would make it ideal for holidays or travel and one pot would do all. Sadly the medium brown is totally dark brown and even though it went on beautifully with the brow brush and a very steady hand, I felt I had to wipe it off straight away ( which believe me was quite a task and would only be removed with makeup remover making me believe the waterproof claims). I shall definitely go back for a lighter shade as I really enjoyed the formula of this product.(Will do an update when I repurchase)
.
Another product I definitely bought in the right shade was the MATTE LIP COLOUR in the shade Praline £4.50. It's definitely my cup of tea and even though there was a great choice of other shades I am totally a nude matte lipstick girl....I loved the fact that this is a lipstick rather than a liquid lipstick that I seem to have plenty of. I loved the shape and the packaging reminds me of a Nars product. The stick is very easy to apply and is very long lasting (all morning and survived the cup of tea test). I love the fact that it includes a little pencil sharpener in the base of the product if you need sharpen the end and even though I don't think I will use it, it's good that Elf have thought of everything.
Last but definitely not least is the BEAUTIFULLY BARE SHEER TINT FINISHING POWDER £7.50 in the shade fair/light. If I'm honest I only bought this product because of the packaging. The Pan is in a beautiful silver compact with a little mirror making it perfect for handbags and is another product that looks a lot more expensive than it is. The product goes on smoothly even though it comes with a little sponge I did swap this for a pressed powder puff as I prefer to apply my powder with a puff, but it's personal preference. . It was definitely the right shade for me and I would definitely repurchase another one just to keep in my handbag. I found the product very long lasting and got though the day with just one touch up..
I will definitely be going back this weekend so will do a follow up post if I buy anything else.
