SKINKISSED VITAMIN C SERUM

Hi again you lovely lot and thank you for stopping by. I hope you are all well and having a fantastic week so far.
 A few weeks back I was kindly sent a bottle of Skinkissed Vitamin C Serum for me to try.
Now you guys know how much I love  abit of skincare and if you have such poor skin as I have you would understand.
Let’s just say I haven’t been bless, this and the fact I love being out in the sun it’s not a pretty combination.I’m a sunworshiper and I only have to be out in the sun for 5 mins and my Hyper Pigmentation from last year is back again like it never went away. I do wear sun protection on my face but it still comes back every year and have upped my game big time this year.
Now last year I found using products that contained Hyaluronic Acid amongst other things really helped. With this in mind when the lovely people at Skinkissed asked me if I wanted to try a bottle of their Vitamin C Serum that contains this magic ingredient that got me though last year I didn’t think twice about saying yes.
I thought it would be amazing if I tried it for say a couple of weeks and then get back to you with the results all in one blog post.
Firstly let’s look at the packaging.
 It’s a brown cute little bottle. I am surprised it didn’t come in a box. Normally skincare comes in a box which normally is a little wasteful so this factor doesn’t bother me one bit and love the fact it’s helping the environment. The bottle gives you 20ml of product. This doesn’t seem a lot but a little does go a long way.
There is also a little droplet in the lid. This helps you get just the right amount of the Serum for your face which is so handy as the liquid is quite runny and if you had to pour it straight out some product would probably be wasted.

Now to the ingredients on the bottle;
Aqua (water), Rosa Damascene( Rose Water), Vitamin C, Glycerine,Phenoxyethanol, and Marine Collagen.  I was surprised to read one of them being Marine Collagen ie Fish!! I was so surprised at this because as some of you know I work in retail and one of the questions I was asked earlier in the year was “do you sell fish oil for your face?” I had never heard of it and now it all becomes clear what the gentleman meant. I was a little apprehensive to open the bottle but trust me it doesn’t smell of fish. I’ve got 3 cats and they aren’t even interested when I applied it and if it did smell of fish they would be all over me so don’t let that factor put you off. It’s definitely doesn’t smell of anything marine like at all and Marine Collagen is a big thing when it comes to skin benefits.
I decided to use this twice a day after cleansing. This is what is recommended and I wanted to follow the instructions to the letter.
 The liquid is brown and I found at first to be a little sticky. A little really does go a long way and I did apply it with the droplet in the lid of the bottle but didn’t fill it right up as I felt I didn’t need a full droplet for my face. My skin did feel tighter especially around my eyes right from the start. The stickiness does not effect applying foundation over the top which I was surprised at how well my foundation went on over the top. It makes such an excellent primer.
Now bear in mind I don’t like posting pictures of myself on here.( I’m sure you can see why by the below pictures!!)  I have body confidence issues and really dislike my face.
But the difference in the pictures is pretty good. So I thought it was worth posting. The lighting does effect the look on both pictures but the camera I use is only the one on my phone for both pictures.. I think you can really tell a difference. My skin feels smoother and brighter and more even toned. My redness has been reduced. I do have a few lines and wrinkles and even though they haven’t disappeared they don’t seem as prominent as they usually do.
I will definitely keep using this product as I really think you can see a difference after a couple of weeks and I’m quite happy with the results.
