With February fast approaching and it being the month of love it’s about time we showed our lips come care with the help of BUBU SKINCARE.

Bubu Skincare have introduced their fab new #youpucker skincare pumping mask and I’m super excited to give it a try.
If you are unfamiliar with the brand let me give you a bit of a back story! ( I love a good back story!) The brand is the brainchild of beauty therapist Marianne Morrison. Taking two years of development the range of masks takes inspiration from the futuristic and fast paced world of K beauty. The brand is cheeky and carefree and with the name Bubu broken down meaning be yourself it’s easy to see how the brands mantra is “everything begins with loving yourself first, confidently, to be u and be unique.
The launch range includes 5 bespoke sheet masks and lets face it whats not to love about a sheet mask. I love them. I find them so easy to use and love the fact they are not messy and easy to remove.
Now I’m not going to lie. I do neglect my lips. I wear lipstick most days but regular readers will know I’m a lover of a matte lipstick which can be drying so yes my lips are in need.

So what are the key ingredients to this product. Along with Hyaluronic Acid which nourishes and hydrates the lips this product contains Botox.
I have never used a product that contained Botox and was super excited to give it a try. Don’t worry it’s a cosmetic grade approved ingredient which is currently unique to the Bubu brand and is completely safe.
It’s just a slight tingle and is even safe to use during pregnancy. Not that I was worried and I’m definitely not pregnant!!!  but even if I was, the product is still safe to use.

As well as the two main ingredients that’s not all the product also includes Red Clover, Brown Algae, Red Algae, Alfalfa Herb and Wakeme. With these ingredients and the brands unique Glitterati hydrogel structure, which is created using a globally patented, thermo sensitive water soluble hydrogel that reacts to your body temperature, you know you’re going to get a powerful shot of hydration to your lips that will leave them in amazing condition.

So now to try out the product.
I have included a scary before picture which I can only apologise for. I really wanted to do this to show the difference that the mask makes. I think it really shows the dryness of my lips and how they are in need of a little bit of TLC.

The mask is super easy to apply and even though you do feel a slight cold tingle on your lips it’s nothing major or uncomfortable and it soon disappears.
Like most masks you are meant to leave the mask on for about 10-15minutes. I left mine on for  20mins. (I’m such a rebel!!) My only reason for this is that I forgot, so you can tell it’s quite comfortable to wear. If you worry about having things covering your mouth this doesn’t hinder anything you can breathe and talk with ease. ( Which is always a good thing!!)
So I’m going to leave an after photo as well to show the difference. My lips do feel softer and smoother. They also feel a little bit fuller (especially the top lip) you know the same sort of feeling you feel when you are wearing a lip plumping lipgloss. This lasted for a couple of hours afterwards. I’m not sure if the picture does this justice but I’m happy with the overall results and would definitely use the product again in the winter months.

It’s also worth pointing out that the product is cruelty free and vegan and is environmentally friendly to use. I know some masks aren’t environmentally friendly so it’s really good news this one is.
I will leave the link below just in case you fancy trying out one of these masks for yourself.
If your lips aren’t a problem why not try one of the brands all over face masks.
Until next time
