JOLIE BEAUTY SECOND SKIN HIGHLIGHTERS

Every now and then you find an amazing beauty brand that you can’t speak highly enough of.

That’s how I feel about Jolie Beauty. I have talked about the brand before in previous posts but if you have missed any of my previous posts I will post a bit of a back story!

Jolie Beauty are an online beauty, cruelty free makeup and skincare brand that was created by a group of highly experienced makeup artists and is cruelty free and vegan. The brand specialises in colour cosmetics and the brand believe cosmetics should have no rules or boundaries. Not only do they do great colour cosmetics they also do skincare ( which I have used in the past, (links below) and completely loved) but today it’s all about the cosmetics.

So the brand kindly gifted me two highlighter items from their Second Skin collection to try out and I really wanted to share with you the shades and the products just in case you fancied trying them out for yourself.

So what is the Jolie Beauty’s Second Skin range.

Jolie Beauty's Second Skin range features a collection of vegan & cruelty-free face products with a lightweight formula that can be built up to suit any skin tone.

I did feature the blushers and bronzers from the range a few months back and both have become “go to!” products in my makeup bag.

The products come in luxurious packaging which even the cardboard box the product comes in is so beautiful in itself. The Second Skin highlighters come in a beautiful rose gold large compact & mirror. The packaging is so perfect and makes all the products look so much more expensive than what they are. If like me you appreciate a beautiful compact in your handbag for touch-ups on the go then these are the products for you. The products also comes with a cute little embossed lightening bolt in the powder. This is such a cute touch and just another selling point to the product.

There are four beautiful highlighter shades in the Second Skin collection. Each shade is so beautiful and have gorgeous names to go with them. Dreaming, Saintly, Euphoria and Paradise.

So what are the shades that I’ve been kindly gifted?

The two that I have to try out are Saintly and Dreaming.

Saintly is a light champagne shade with a beautiful light gold shift.

This is the lightest shade of the range and a shade that I would usually go for.

This is really suited to either light cool skin tones or in the corner if you want a pop of highlight there.

So the next shade is called Dreaming. This is a warmer shade and would probably be perfect for the summer and would look great with a tan. This is a warmer tone and can be used over the Jolie Beauty Latte Bronzer that I have in my collection if you want a touch of highlight to your skin over the top for a really bronzed glow.

The shades can be built up and are perfect for a subtle, barely there glow or full out glow that’s perfect for a night out! ( Not that we are getting many of those at the moment but you know what I mean.

The glitter particles are super fine which is what I really enjoy about both these products as I’ve used highlighters in the past that have been more glittery than glowy (if this makes sense) and ended up looking like a little disco ball). Both these give off an amazing healthy glow rather than glitter which looks amazing.

I love the fact that these products can be multi purpose. For example I mixed a little bit in my cream eyeshadow and it looked amazing and the same with some lip balm for a real lip treat! I’m not sure if I’m the only person who does this but it really works and I do love a multi purpose product.

None of the Second Skin products have ever disappointed me and I love the fact that these highlighters and all the range are reasonably priced at £16.99 each yet are so amazing.
