Fragrance is such a personal thing. My fragrance obsession started with my first can of Impulse body spray back when I was about 12 and has never stopped. Even if I’m not leaving the house I always like to spray a little bit of something. I love to try out new things and if I’m honest there aren’t many fragrances that I’m not keen on.

When I was ask by the Secret Scent Box if I wanted to discover their February subscription box I was keen to try it out.

So, first of all, what is Secret Scent Box? The Secret Scent Box is monthly UK fragrance subscription box that allows you to discover three different designer or branded scents each month, delivered right through your letterbox. The scents will always be new designer or branded perfumes or colognes, and each box provides enough perfume for 30 days. With 9ml of fragrance in total, you should be able to get around 4 sprays per day without running out before your next box.

You can also choose from a Men’s or Women’s box to tailor your fragrances. I went for the Woman’s box but it’s so great that both options are available.

The subscription plan is available for 1, 6 or 12 months depending on the plan you choose and you can cancel anytime making this a super fun, flexible way to try out new fragrances.

So onto the box..

So I’m not going to lie that I was super excited about this subscription. Who doesn’t love a surprise perfume? The box is small enough to fit though a letterbox, (no trips to the Post Office are needed) yet safely packed in a beautiful black gift box with lovely gold writing one. The packaging itself makes it perfect as a gift.

Inside of the box are the three different fragrances. Each scent contains 3ml each of fragrance and they come in handy little sprays so that you can spray and smell good all day! They’re also perfect for the hand bag, should you require a little top up on the go.

All the fragrances are 100% authentic which are sourced from authorised vendors and then repackaged into smaller spray bottles by Secret Scent Box. The perfume brands include the likes of Jimmy Choo, Givenchy, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Prada and more. All famous names we have heard of meaning your not stuck with a fragrance you have never heard of.

Another great touch that I also really like is that a little card is included for each fragrance. These details the top, middle and base notes of each fragrance, as well as a little description. This is a really nice touch and gives you an amazing opportunity to check out the scents before you spray them.

So what’s in the February box?

This months fragrances are:

KARL LAGERFIELD FLEUR DE MURIER -This is a feminine floriental, fruity, woody espresso that brings the scent of the summer at any time of the year.

It’s top notes are Raspberry Leaf, Redcurrant and Orange.

Middle notes are Violet, Blackberry Blossom, Orange Blossom and Lily of the Valley.

Base Notes are Sandalwood, Musk, Amber and Vanilla.

After my initial spray I’m definitely saving this for Summer. It’s perfect for the warmer days( and nights) and smells like Summer in a bottle. I’ve never smelt a Karl Lagerfield fragrance before. Infact, I didn’t even know he made fragrances!! and this hopefully won’t be the last one I try out.

PACO RABANNE PACO -This is a classic flexible scent that is great for the nighttime as well as the day. It’s a great all rounder for any time of the year.

It’s top notes are, Pine, Orange, Amalfi Lemon and Coriander.

Middle notes being Cyclamen, Tea, Jasmine and Lavender.

Base notes are Tonka Bean, Cedar, Sandalwood and Musk.

Flexible scents are my favourite. I’m not really one of those people who has a day fragrance or an evening fragrance, if I like it I want to wear it all the time. This one smells lovely and can be used whenever. I love Paco Rabanne fragrances and find they really last on my skin so I’m definitely loving this one.

MUGLER ANGEL NOVA- This is a brand new fruity,floral and woody EDP for a modern heroine who turns her dreams into reality and reality into a dream.

With top notes of Raspberry and Lychee,

Middle notes of Danmask Rose and base notes of Akigalawood and Benzoin.

I’m such a fan of Mugler fragrances. I love the original Angel fragrance and this one is a great modern version of the original. It’s my favourite out of the three scents and it was really long lasting like all the Mugler fragrances are on me.

The box is such an amazing idea. It’s the perfect way to try new fragrances and actually try them on your own skin to see if they suit you. I know I’ve bought fragrances in the past just when I’ve tried them on cards or from magazines samples and regretted them when I’ve worn them for a few days. So with this box you get to really try them out.

The box is from £13 per month with free UK and Europe delivery. A subscription to this would make an excellent gift either for a loved one or yourself. Maybe for Mother’s Day here in the UK or just to say “thank you” to a fragrance lover as a Subscription box makes a great gift as it’s the gift that is ongoing.

It’s also great to treat yourself as who wouldn’t want to receive three new fragrances though their door each month. The box feels like such a cute treat each month and I love the surprise part of subscription boxes as you never know what fragrances are going to arrive though your door.
