So it’s the start of spring and this means time for some pre summer self care. I’m all about self care at the moment as I feel it’s so important that we look after ourselves in these uncertain times. Wearing face masks and the cold weather have played havoc with my lips. I haven’t worn a lipstick for months because of the wearing mask situation but at the same time don’t like the idea of dry, uncomfortable lips. This has meant that I have become obsessed with lip balms. If you feel the same Blistex might be the answer to all your lip worries.
So who are Blistex?
Blistex was founded in 1947 in the United States as a small, family-run company in the business of developing and marketing lip care products, the brand existed to create quality products, achieve consistent growth and become an innovative leader in lip care. The brand not only provide quality lip care but also are completely affordable and nothing in this post costs more than £2.79.
Today Blistex is on to the third generation family and the original goals and values of lip care still stand. The products have changed and moved with the times so I thought it would be a lovely idea to share with you the latest products so you can give your lips a little bit of love this springtime.
The Blistex range includes:

The Intensive Moisturiser  This comes in the form of a small tube. It is infused with a blend of rich moisturisers that intensely rehydrate lips. It contains Shea butter that conditions, camphor soothes and allantoin smooths lips.
It has a nice minty taste and really does wonders for dry lips. RRP £2.30

Now onto my favourite item of the whole selection of products it’s The Intensive Moisturiser Cherry This one again comes in a small tube but tastes amazing. The product is infused with a blend of rich moisturisers and works to intensely hydrate lips, with a hint of cherry flavour. RRP £2.30

If you like your balms to give off a hint of a colour then the Lip Brilliance is the product for you. This product gives lips a rosy blush whilst enriching them with silk extracts for softness, grape seed oil conditions and hyaluronic filling spheres boost natural fullness, leaving lips looking healthy, full and fabulous. It comes in the traditional form of a twist up lipstick tube and is great for on the go top ups. RRP £2.49.
I have included a photo of the Lip Brilliance, when applied to show the colour pay off from the product.

If your lips need something a little extra Medplus is perfect when lips need some TLC, it cools, soothes and restores dry lips thanks to conditioning cocoa butter and cooling menthol, bringing lips back to health. It comes in a little pot and has a lovely cocoa butter taste to it. It’s especially good for really dry cracked lips and is a perfect little lip treat. RRP £2.30

As the warmer months approach us, if your looking for something with a very high sun protection the last product might be ideal. The Ultra SPF 50+ provides an advanced sun protection to help protect lips from UVA and UVB rays. The product comes again in the traditional twist up lipstick style and is full of antioxidants and vitamins C & E. It helps seal in moisture to keep lips hydrated, whilst protecting them from the sun as well as the winter sun and snow. This would be perfect for summer holidays as well as it’s small enough to carry around on the go RRP £2.79
All the products are available online from as well as and Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Asda, Waitrose, Wilko, HomeBargains and Savers.
It’s the perfect way of giving you super soft lips at any time of the year.

Until next time
