So last week I got a surprise parcel from Pixi.

I’m always so grateful when I receive Pixi PR. Their packages are always so special and I never take them for granted. After being so overwhelmed with the package I thought I would share with you the makeup products that were inside with swatches of all the shades.

The box contained all the makeup essentials that you need to achieve party perfection over the festive season that will see you though to the new year!
So before I start with what’s in the box, you guys know how much I love a good back story.
Pixi by Petra is the brainchild of successful makeup artist and owner Petra Strand. Launched over 15 years ago in Soho London the brand represents timeless beauty and provides real woman time saving, multitasking high quality makeup solutions at affordable prices. Petra has over 20 years experience herself as a successful makeup artist so you know we are in good hands with quality products. I am such a big fan of their skincare range and the makeup is fast becoming a firm favourite also.

So on with the products and I’m going to start with a new product. This is the Eyelift Max which are the brand’s newest metallic eyeshadow that leaves a veil of flattering colour! These are ideal to be layered! I’ve never used these before so am excited to try!
So these are just my cup of tea. I’m all for a bit of easy makeup and these are the most perfect product to use for a simple eye makeup look.

There are 6 in the collection ranging from darker colours like Mocha to the two lightest ones like the ones that I have been sent. I love how both of these give off a beautiful sheer color. I love using both these shades on my eye lids, inner corner of my eyes, arch of my brow bones, high cheek bones, and cupid's bow for a light highlight. This makes for a multi task product. The applicator makes them super easy to use and I'm definitely going to purchase the darker shades in the collection at a later date. AVAILABLE HERE!

So next we have the ENDLESS SILKY EYE PEN. This is a waterproof eyeliner. I’ve used this before and is amazing for adding definition to any eye look!
Black eyeliner is a staple in my makeup bag and this one doesn’t disappoint.
With 26 different shades to choose from if you’re not like me and don’t just stick to black all the time the brand pretty much have you covered. The product contains no mineral oil, preservatives and parabens as well as it being Hypoallergenic it’s suitable for even the sensitive of eyes. The product is super easy to use and gives the concentrated colour of a liquid liner in a super silky easy to use pencil.

The payoff of colour is amazing and is so long lasting. It will literally last you all day and is completely waterproof.
You get 1.2grams of product and it’s a full size pencil so it’s going to last you a long time. AVAILABLE HERE!

Every makeup bag needs a pretty compact and the NUANCE QUARTETTE is a creamy powder containing ceramides, vitamin E and botanical extracts and is probably the prettiest palette ever! The Nuance Quartette palette comes in two versions of 4 multi use shades.

Each of the palettes are perfect for travel as one contains a blush, contour, bronzer and highlighter. The highlighter shade gives off an amazing glow. Pixi highlighters in the past have always been my favourites and these are no exception. I love the idea of having just one palette that includes three products. The creamy powders are silky soft and are perfect for a natural finish, high pigmented long wearing look. The products are Paraben free and not tested on animals. AVAILABLE HERE!

So moving on to the lips. The +C VIT Brightener is a tinted lip balm that contains Vitamin C to brighten and provide intense moisture whilst leaving your lips feeling amazing!

This has to be my new favourite lip product! This is a treatment that provides a nourishing, delicately pigmented lip balm with Rose Oil, Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E. This delivers a rosy look while hydrating, soothes, softens and protects lips instead of a lipstick. It’s ideal to keep it into your handbag to top up during the day and I really enjoy the wash of colour that it gives off. CLICK HERE TO BUY

So we all need a good primer in our collection and the FLAWLESS BEAUTY PRIMER is perhaps the nicest one I’ve tried. This is actually my favourite makeup product of the whole set. It neutralises and smoothes uneven skin tones and leaves your complexion youthful and radiant with a little bit of a glow!
This product is amazing. I love how the product comes in a simple tube and is easy to use. I found that even on no makeup days a little bit of this on your face makes you look glowy and healthy. It also can be worn under your foundation as the formula is loaded with skin-loving ingredients and powerful anti-aging fortifying benefits. AVAILABLE HERE!

We all need a good mascara and this one really lives up it it’s name. THE LARGE LASH MASCARA is a volumizing mascara with certainly brightens up your eyes. It contains Vitamin E and curls, defines, lengthens and thickens with built in fibres. This leaves you with a glossy, waterproof finish which is everything and more you could ask for in a mascara. The product comes in a thick barrel and the brush itself is quite thick with large bristles. This helps to give your lashes a pushed up look and coats every lash evenly. The brush is not made of plastic which I love as I find proper bristles apply so much better.

The mascara is available is two shades black which is the one I’ve been sent and the other being blackest blue. This shade is meant to make the whites of your eyes appear whiter. I’m not sure about this as I’m a black mascara kind of girl but it would be interesting to find out. The mascara lasted me all day with no smudges and made my thinner lashes look thicker. I always worry about waterproof mascara being hard to remove but I removed this one in the same way as I would remove any other mascara. I haven’t tested if the product is waterproof in water but my eyes do tend to be a little bit watery and it’s held up though me watching the end of La La Land so that’s got to mean it’s waterproof... right?
