AUGUST FAVOURITES!

Hi again and welcome back to my tiny part of the internet.
It's been a funny month for me and I felt I lost my blogging mojo abit and to be honest probably still have abit, but I couldn't let a month go by without doing a favourites blog post ( they are my favourite blog posts to write).
This month I have been trying a few new makeup products that I have been really enjoying. Some of which I have done first impressions and to be honest didn't give them the write up they deserved as the more I used them the more I fell in love with them. So sit back grab a cuppa and a Jaffa cake and let me begin.

I definitely want to include this mascara as it's definitely worth a mention and it's the product that I didn't give a fair chance on my original first impressions.  Its the new LOREAL PARIS PARADISE EXTATIC MASCARA. The first few times of using this I couldn't get the hype but now I can. It's a really good product and I can go as far as to say it's one of my new mascara favourites. I still think the box is unnecessary but if you haven't tried it yet I would say give it a go and don't give up on it to soon because it does get better the longer the tube has been opened.
When I purchased the Rimmel mascara and eyeliner they were on a 3 for 2 mix and match so I picked up another one of those LOREAL MATTE LIP PAINT in the shade 212 NUDE-IST. This is a lovely dark brown nude colour and I just love wearing it as it's a little darker than what I would usually wear.
Now I love these and have a few different shades but this one is definitely my favourite by far and the staying power is even better with this one as well, I'm not sure if it's because it's a darker shade but I'm definitely loving this at the moment.
Another thing I'm loving is the RIMMEL LONDON BROW THIS WAY FIBRE PENCIL. At £4.99 it's not the cheapest pencil around but it does the job at filling in my brows. I'm not sure about the fibres as they aren't visibly obvious but it's still a good pencil.
For my face base I have been enjoying 3 products. The first one being the ESSENCE INSTANT MATT SETTING SPRAY £3.99. This is the best setting spray I have ever used (and yes I've tried a few). I use it as a primer as well and it makes your makeup last all day. Definitely worth a try if your looking for a cheap product that really works.

I have talked about the COLLECTION PRIMED AND READY POWDER £3.99 before and I still love it, I just wish they would make a proper compact with a little mirror in the lid and then it would be perfect.
Another rediscovered product is the LOREAL INFALLIBLE 24 HOUR MATTE FOUNDATION £7.99. I had forgotten how good this product was until I repurchase in a different shade. The one I went for was Sand 20 and this really is a good colour match for me and I'm completely in love with this and not reaching for any other product at the moment. I'm very fickle with makeup so it will probably be something else next month but at the moment these products provide me with a perfect base.
Now I have talked about my love for fragrance mists before and think they are a cracking alternative to a perfume in the summer months. After been sent a 40% off coupon from THE BODY SHOP it would have been rude not to pop and in have a little try of some of there products. I was very excited to see they still did a body spray of WHITE MUSK £8 my fragrance of the 90s so I had to pick it up and it's so nostalgic for me. Another fragrance I love there is the SHEA EDT £9. It's such a beautiful fragrance and lasts such a long time and definitely worth a Body Shop visit if you are passing.
Another fragrance mist I am enjoying is the BODY FANTASY VANILLA £3.99 (on offer at £1.49 from Superdrug). I completely love these and they are perfect for handbags as the bottle is plastic so not to heavy to carry around.

I want to tell you about an item of clothing I have worn to death( literally) it's my trusty Demin jacket from New Look £34.99. If you have read my "outfit of the day" stand alone page you will know how much I have worn this jacket. I think it's a standing joke as it's in practically in every photo and if you've read it you must think I own no other jackets ( honestly I do) anyway it's so worn I've only gone and ordered a new one from my local New Look and they even knocked 25% off for me in store, which I'm so grateful for,  so it's definitely a favourite this month.

I do like listening to music and this month is no exception so I thought I would include a few songs I love just because I can really.. If I love a song I tend to listen to it on repeat until I'm sick of it.. I'm loving THE SCRIPT RAIN, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS GO and THE KILLERS THE MAN.
All of the groups I like anyway and I have loved Danny from The Script for years (So much so I named a Kitten after him and then he sadly passed away but that's another story). So that's what's on my playlist at the moment.
Television wise this month I have been watching BIG BROTHER and have started watching THE GREAT BRITISH BAKEOFF. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it after it moving to Channel 4 but I do and even though it makes me want to eat cake ( when's my diet ever going to start) I'm still going to watch it.
What are your favourites this month? I would love to hear from you if any of your favourites are the same as mine.
