SLEEK MATTE ME LIP CREAMS REVIEW

Hi again and a big thank you for stopping by. Today I want to share with you something that I’ve had new to my ever growing makeup collection. (please tell me I’m not the only one who buys way too much makeup).
It’s the SLEEK MATTE ME LIP CREAMS. £4.99
Sleek is one of the fastest growing brands on the high street at the moment and it’s easy to see why. With over 20 years of experience and diverse choice of colours and shades there is always something for everyone.
I’m definitely a little late to the party with this product as these are one of Sleeks best selling products so I thought it was about time I gave in to temptation and you do know how I love myself a good matte lip.
Being spoilt for choice with colours and wanting to try them all I picked up eight in various shades including two metallic ones.

The product itself is no different to the usual liquid matte lips that I love as it comes in a tube with a little sponge applicator.
The applicator itself has no gimmicks and is very firm and basic.
The packaging itself looks very impressive and doesn’t look cheap at all and you could be fooled into thinking it was a much higher end priced product.
Testing lip products is definitely my favourite makeup item to test as I do tend to drink a lot of Tea throughout the day so I need a lip product that does last and also want a lip product that’s comfortable as well, so I find I can give it a real run for its money.
The first thing you notice is you definitely need two coats of the lip cream to get a full opaque matte lip as it’s quite thin but it’s easily buildable and once it’s set on your lips ( I would says approximately 2 mins to fully set) you are good to go.
I found once it was set it didn’t smudge and I had one cup of tea and a can of Diet Coke ( why didn’t I just say 2 drinks there as I’m sure you don’t want to know what I’m drinking!!!!) before I needed to reapply.
I would definitely say if you were on an evening out you would have to take it out with you to reapply as the night worn on, but if you’re anything like me you would anyway or maybe use a straw with a drink as that always make lip products last longer.
The lighter shades definitely wear better than the darker ones as with a lot of matte lip products. The inside of your lips fades a lot faster than the outside. But saying that I did find it hard to remove certain darker shade so that’s always a good thing right??
I found I could reapply over the top when it worn down without having to remove the whole product from your lips and start again which is always a pain so it’s good to know with this one you can just touch up.
The metallic shades don’t feel as comfortable on the lips as the normal shades but they look so beautiful it’s worth it just for the colour alone.
The lighter Metallic shade VOLCANIC is perfect to wear over the top of any lipstick to give it a Metallic vibe as it’s a beautiful very subtle metallic shade.
My favourite in the range is BIRTHDAY SUIT, as that shade is my kind of safe go to neutral shade as I do love a bolder eye look but it’s always a good thing to try different things.
