Hi again you lovely lot and thank you for stopping by. I hope you have had a lovely time over Christmas and Santa has been kind. Well as it’s after Christmas and at this time of year most proper bloggers put out a “what I’ve got for Christmas post” I didn’t really want to do that for a few reasons really;
I don’t think you would care what my new favourite leopard print slippers look like ( they are so comfy and I’m in them all the time),
My two bottles of perfume have already been used ( they smell so good!)
and of course the “don’t want to brag” statement that a lot of bloggers use after telling us about the fifth Gucci handbag they have received. ( yes I am jealous)
2017 was an exciting time for me as it was the beginning of me starting this blog after giving up in 2015 on another blog platform. ( the start of 2015 was a bad year). Since February I have dedicated lots of my time to this blog and am really grateful to you for listening to my endless rambling about broken boilers and budget makeup.. ...especially those who have left lovely comments and messages.
I hope 2018 can be just as exciting.. I thought I would kickstart the new year with a favourites as they are my favourite posts to write...
Now most of them have had little blog posts Of there own so I’m going to link them with the item so if you find something that really is of interest to you you can have a little extra read.
Most of my favourites are surprise surprise makeup bits as that is my favourite thing to talk about. So without further ado... on with the list!!!!!!!!!

L’Oréal Paradise Extatic Mascara £11.99
This has been my favourite since the summer and I’ve used it to the exclusion of all others.. it’s my complete favourite....... but after receiving a little Boujous gift which did contain the Volume clubbing mascara I’m slightly torn as I’m really enjoying that one as well but that might become a new favourite, but for 2017 it was mostly about this mascara!!

Next on my list is this eyeshadow palette. ( I could pick about 5 favourites here) This is by far the one I have used most this year. I really wish it still looked like it does on the picture, it’s abit of a mess and you can definitely tell my favourite shades. I swatched it a few months back on the blog so I’ve left you the link below. It’s still available if you were keen to get your hands on one or replace your original.

My favourite pressed powder has to be RIMMEL STAY MATTE TRANSPARENT PRESSED POWDER £3.99. I’ve used this for years and even though I do flit from brand to brand this is my favourite from a budget brand. My only gripe is that it’s not available in a compact version for handbags as it’s abit tricky for on the go.

MAYBELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION £6.99 was the foundation I bought earlier in the year  and completely fell in love with. I do swap and change my foundations but I’ve recently bought this in a different shade  and have fallen in love with it again.I did do a review of this when I first tried it so I e linked it below. https://juelook.blogspot.co.uk/2017/04/maybelline-fit-me-matte-review.html?m=1
ESSENCE INSTANT MATTE SETTING SPRAY £3 is my go to setting spray and I swear it can make any foundation last. My last post was all about this and how much I love the stuff. The bottle is only small and doesn’t last very long but it’s so good.

I used to use the BOURJOIS BRONZING POWDER £8.99 a few years ago and loved the fact it smelt of chocolate. I had sort of forgotten how nice it was until someone told me that it was a good dupe for the Benefit hoola Bronzer. Where as I’m not sure that it is a dupe i really love it and I can’t believe I haven’t wrote about this before on a post.

Something I have done a post about is the ESSENCE LIQUID INK EYELINER £3. This stuff is my favourite eyeliner and lasts such a long time. I have repurchased this a few times ( in the pen formula as well) and even though I know Essence products can be hit and miss this is a definite hit https://juelook.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/budget-liquid-eyeliner.html?m=1

I don’t think I’ve even worn an item of clothing so much as this jacket. I loved it this year ( I still do) you can dress it up or down and even though everyone in my small town seems to have one it’s not going to stop me wearing it again in 2018!
On my sale shop the other day I noticed it have been reduced to £12 and I nearly bought another as a spare but I didn’t as the original is still going strong!
Another item I’ve been loving was the PRIMARK QUILTED MUSTARD BAG £7 that I bought in September. I originally bought my first from EBay and then went on to buy another from the store as the first one broke. It’s a little bit small and found myself cutting down on what I was carrying around with me but I love it. I did have a new handbag for Christmas so the Mustard one has been popped away for the moment but I’m sure it will make its return in 2018!
I hope you have enjoyed my favourites list and thank you for following my blog over the last year.
Here’s to 2018 and more of the same.
Until next time.
