MAYBELLINE 24 HOUR SUPERSTAY FOUNDATION VS FIT ME

January 21, 2018

Hi again you lovely lot and thank you for stopping by. It’s been a funny old week in the Juelook house hold as it’s been full of illness and birthday plans have were sadly put on hold. I hope this week has been good for you and life is being kind.
Now what do I do when the going gets tough I get spending!!!! and this week has been no different in that department.
I had been eyeing up the Maybelline Super Stay 24 hour Foundation ever since it has been repackaged but i really wanted to use up all my old foundations first ( said no woman ever!!!)
I really wanted to do a Wear and compare with the Fit Me Foundation from the brand that I know I love already.
So on my way to buy some Broncho Stop ( the pastilles are amazing) I picked up a new foundation as well!! ( it had to be done)
The Super Stay 24hr retails at £9.99 which is a little more expensive than the Fit Me at £6.99. But that’s pretty average for a drugstore foundation.
I much prefer the choice of colours in the Fit Me range but I did manage to pick up two shades that are very similar.
The Superstay comes in a glass bottle with a pump which makes it look a little more luxurious than the plastic tube that the Fit Me comes in.
I’ve said before  I do prefer a tube foundation than a glass bottle pump as it’s easier to carry around and easier to get all the product out when it comes to the end of the tube ( if you ever use up all your foundation!!!) but that’s just me liking to keep things Lightweight and simple.
The Superstay product is a full coverage foundation and is a little thicker in consistency so it’s a little harder to blend. I used a brush but I think a damp sponge is probably better in this case.
It does cover well when you bear in mind I don’t have the best skin for a flawless complexion ( spots, freckles dark circles, redness etc I’m not painting a very good picture here am I).
It covers really well and probably abit better than the Fit me Foundation does but you can definitely feel it on your face.
It’s long lasting with just a little touch up with powder at dinner time but does feel a little cakey around your nose ( perhaps it was my fault for over powdering) but it’s really not that noticeable only if you look really close up.
It doesn’t change colour on me at the end of the day which a lot of foundations seem to do which is always a winner in my book but the Fit Me never does either.
It’s a good foundation for the price and I say it’s simular to Rimmels Lasting Finish Foundation as that’s what it reminds me of.

So out of the Two I would definitely say the coverage is better on the SUPERSTAY 24HR Foundation, it is definitely more of a Winter makeup and would be good on an night out. but the FIT ME feels better on your face and i can imagine it being better as an everyday foundation just for the comfort factor. Maybe it’s because I’ve been using the Fit Me for a while now ( since the summer) and have repurchased it and even though I will use up the Superstay I don’t think I would repurchase that instead of the Fit Me.
The Fit Me feels nicer to apply and even though it’s not as much of a thick coverage it’s buildable.
I’ve left a link of the Fit me Review I posted last year just in case you wondered about that Foundation.

If I only had to choose the one I would pick the Fit Me hands down..
Do you agree? Leave a comment and let me know what you think?
Until next time.
