APRIL FAVOURITES/ DISAPPOINTING PRODUCTS

Can you believe we are at the end of another month. Finally we are getting closer to the summer months after a rainy April apart from about 3 beautiful summer type days in the UK that just came to give us a taster of summer.
Now I know this post is late as I always like to pop these type of posts up on the last day of the month or the first day of the new month but and I’m going to be honest here!!! I forgot!! No excuses just forgot!!!!  (You know what I’m like)
I do have my Primark haul waiting in the wings, that was meant to be my next post but if I leave this any later we will be in June before I begin.
I have decided to throw into the mix products I haven’t really liked as well. I don’t normally like to do this but there has been a few that I have just not got along with and can’t get the hype. But first on with the good stuff and we will leave the poor things till the end shall we.
My favourite item of this month has to be the MAYBELLINE DREAM SATIN LIQUID £7.99. I have the shade Natural Ivory. I’ve had this in my makeup draw for a while now and never really used it but after reusing it again I now popped it back into my little makeup bag. I have been mixing it with another product which I’ve only just discovered which is the PRIMARK PS MATTE PRIMER £3. Now I’ve only had this for a week or so and it works so nicely with the MAYBELLINE product and it’s at such a good price and is definitely worth a try.
Regular readers to my blog will know I’m obsessed with fixing powders at the moment and the RIMMEL LONDON INSTA FIX AND MATTE £4.99 is my go to powder. It’s not messy as it’s pressed and even though I don’t have it in my handbag as there is no mirror it’s still my favourite out of all that I’ve tried so far.
I’ve been completely loving the new REVOLUTION PRO range last month and am loving the INTOXICATE PALETTE £6. This palette is amazing. It’s such a nice size for your makeup bag. The pigmentation is excellent with no fall out. I have featured the swatches on another post so I don’t want to repeat myself but it’s definitely worth a try if you get the chance.
Another product from the PRO range is the EYEBROW MICROBLADING EFFECT PENCIL £4
This is perhaps the best mechanical pencil, for the price I have used. It’s so fine and natural and the choice of shades is really good. You guys know I do love myself a brow pencil and this one is definitely worth a try.
I’ve been really enjoying the SLEEK ROSE GOLD BLUSHER £4.99. This has been one of my favourites for a while but I’ve been forgetting to pop it into a favourites post. It just gives off the right amount of colour and even though it does look really dark on the picture it goes on lighter and does give a beautiful sheen to your face.
The I HEART MAKEUP UNICORN HEARTS £4.99 is definitely my favourite highlighter at the moment. Now I know you guys will all be thinking that I  only bought this because of it’s name and yes you are right but that’s not the only reason as I love it so much. The packaging is so cute and definitely a little bit TWO FACED ESQUE but honestly what’s not to love about these products. I have a few in my collection already but this is the favourite one at the moment.
I have rediscovered my love for Coconut oil after being sent a tub to try and literally think everyone needs a tub in the house. It’s a little beauty secret and I have re vamped my 10 reasons post which I will leave a link below to if you fancy a quick read.
10 REASONS WHY WE LOVE COCONUT OIL

Last but not least on the favourites front it’s the EARTH KISS EXFOLIATE MUD MASK. I was actually sent this as a PR sample and I love it so much. I do love mud masks in general
and especially ones that make your face super soft and this one definitely does the job if you have the odd breakout here and there and large pores like me.

DISAPPOINTING PRODUCTS!!!!!!!
It really pains me to include this on my disappointing list as it would have been a favourite. It’s the PS NUDE MATTE LIPSTICK £1.50. I love the colour and it lasts all day. My only problem with it is it breaks off the packaging practically straight away. At first I thought it was just a bad batch so I went to buy another one and it did the same. Stupidity I have repurchase ( this is my third now) and it’s happened again. Now I know these are only £1.50 but it’s the fact it’s such an amazing product let down by just this factor which is a bit of a pain and even though it’s my favourite shade of lipstick at the moment I can’t buy another.
Another product I’m a little bit disappointed in is the RIMMEL LONDON LASTING FINISH BREATHABLE CONCEALER. £6.49 Completely for the same reasons. The formula is great and I love the concealer product inside but it’s the packaging.  It just won’t come out and when it does it makes abit of a mess. I have used it a couple of times and both times it’s ended up on my carpet which is not good. If I’m using it wrong please someone tell me because I really want it to work.
My last “disappointing”  item ( I’m only doing three this month)  is the BARRY M LAS VEGAS 2 MASCARA £4.99. Now I know people swear by this infact I live with someone who loves the fact I don’t like it and has it now in her makeup bag. The brush is too thin for me and the product would not thicken up on my lashes. It does separate and probably would suit someone better who wanted a no makeup natural look but that’s not me.
If you like or dislike any of these products I would love to know. Either leave a comment ( if  you can as I know it can sometimes be hard leaving comments) or send me a private message as I love hearing from you all.
Thank you for taking the time to read this it means a lot and next week I will be back with  my holiday Primark haul.
Have a great week, stay safe and see you soon
Love and Kisses
