LEIGHTON DENNY “WALK IN WARDROBE” FEDORA NAIL POLISH
February 21, 2020So you guys know by now I’m a bit obsessed with nail polish and I can’t leave the house without painted nails. It’s one of my favourite things to write about and I definitely spend too much money buying all the shades. So when I heard about the new shades from Leighton Denny’s walk in wardrobe collection I was super excited to find out more about these exciting products.
ABOUT THE BRAND
The Leighton Denny brand was formed in 2005 by Leighton Denny MBE, who on the previous years of 2001, 2002, 2003 had won British Nail Technician of the year. In fact he was that good he was actually voted into the hall of fame as a judge in 2004.
Since 2005 the brand has evolved into one of the worlds leading award winning brands available.
The new shades, that I want to talk about today are from the walk in wardrobe winter 2020 collection and feature 6 brand new shades. The shades are designed to match your staple wardrobe items and there is a shade to suit any occasion.
How beautiful are these six shades? Each so beautiful in their own right.
All the new shades are available from the website but it’s just one shade, that I would like to talk about today.
So I was gifted the shade Fedora. This is a lovely shade of muted purple and is the perfect shade for this time of the year. It’s super easy to wear and would definitely bring some warmth to the winter months. Like previous Leighton Denny polish products I’ve used before it went on smoothly and dried quickly. I would say two coats had completely dried within 5 minutes. This means you don’t have to wait around long for your nails to dry.
The formula is the same formula the company have been using since 2005. It’s free from Tosylamide Formaldehyde, Resin, Camphor, DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde. To be honest I’d never really given a thought to the ingredients in my nail polish until now, so its good to know that you can buy nail polish without these ingredients.
The shine on the end result is amazing. It’s probably the shiniest finish I’ve ever used from a nail polish. The shade doesn’t fade after a few days either, like some varnishes do.
The nail polishes were long lasting but I did have to retouch up the ends after a few days but I found you could do this really easily without having to redo your whole nails. This was very minimal and probably not really needed to be done it’s just me being picky.
I have included a picture of the polish taken from the website. I tried to take a picture of my own nails but they are short at the moment and I didn’t think it showed the varnish off to its true potential.
Now I know these polishes are £12 each and if you want to buy a few it can be expensive, but when you bear in mind the quality and long lasting formula it’s probably just as cost effective.
The shades are available from the website which I will link below and from Marks and Spencer’s which I will also link for you.
Even though the nail polish was gifted to me this had not swayed my opinion of the product as I loved it so much hence me wanting to write the post.
