Prize Palettes - Award-winning mineral makeup from Live in the Light

August 07, 2020

It seems like a while since I’ve done a post all about makeup. What with the summer that hasn’t been and the lockdown I haven’t really been buying much. In fact it’s been all about skincare until recently on my blog.

If you have followed me for a while you might remember my love for LIVE IN THE LIGHT especially the Pure Anada range.
So Pure Anada is available in the UK from LIVE IN THE LIGHT
If you haven’t read any of my posts before. Live in the light is an online natural and organic lifestyle store sourcing a comprehensive collection of natural and chemical free ranges. This includes skincare, bodycare, colour cosmetics, hair and nail care, mother and baby, men’s grooming, home fragrance and pet care. They literally have every beauty product covered in their ranges and if they don’t sell it you probably don’t need it.
I have done a few posts about the brands body skin range in the past which I really enjoyed using. ( I will leave a link below to previous posts at the bottom)
I had never tried out any of the brands makeup items before until last week and I’m super excited to tell you guys all about them.
The products I have been kindly gifted are Pure Anada lipsticks and a Pure Anada palette.

Regular readers to my blog may remember my love for palettes. When I first started my blog I had so many I literally couldn’t fit anymore in my makeup drawers. I recently had a big sort out and don’t have so many now but do love a good palette and this one is a must for any makeup lover like myself.
With four in the collection there is a colour option for everyone.
Each of the four palettes feature all natural mineral makeup and contain four eye colours and a pressed blush shade.
Not only this, both the blush and eye colour have won awards in the prestigious Beauty Bible Awards 2020. This is great recognition for this independent natural brand.
The four palettes are made up of the brands most popular shades and have been given beautiful names to go with them.
These are:
Dauntless Compact Palette
Delicate Compact Palette
Demure Compact Palette
Dreamy Compact Palette
The palettes retail at £29.95 and are refillable. This is so good as once you have hit pan with your favourite shades you can purchase a refill from Live in the light as each shade is available to buy individually for £6.25. This means you can carry on using the same palette or switch up your look by making your own customised palette with any of the other shades that are available. This makes the Palette so cost effective and could save you money in the long run it’s also good for the environment as well.

So the palette I have been sent is The Dreamy Palette.
The packaging on this palette is so beautiful. It’s lightweight and boxed in the same floral design. I know packaging shouldn’t be important as it’s what’s inside that counts but it kind of is in my eyes and this one doesn’t disappoint. The shades inside are a real deep dusty rose colour with a creamy gold highlight and would compliment most skin tones.
The eyeshadow shades include matte taupe grey, glistening rose pink, matte plum, and glittering deep rose.
So what are the shade names
The Dreamy Compact Collection Includes:
Afterglow Pressed Highlight
Clouded (matte) Pressed Eye Shadow
Illusion Pressed Eye Shadow
Reverie Pressed Eye Shadow
Figment Pressed Eyeshadow
Swatches to the palette
The shades are super long lasting and give off amazing pigmentation. I didn’t use an eyeshadow primer before and the eye shades lasted me all day. The afterglow pressed highlighter is also amazing. The payoff is lovely and not too much if you know what I mean. I have used highlighters before that have made me look super shiny and not at all flattering but this one is just right. The glow is so subtle and looks amazing in the sunshine.(not that it’s sunny at the moment as I’m writing this but you get my meaning.)
I will leave a link to the palettes and the single shades if you fancy a look at each of the palettes and how you could customise your own.

So onto the lipsticks.
Over the last few months I have to admit I haven’t really been wearing much lipstick products. I’ve mostly been sticking to lip balms but these two beautiful shades might just change my recent habits.
These lipsticks are from the Petal Perfect Lipstick collection. The lipsticks are moisture intensive and include Organic Rosehip oil which is known to repair dry damaged skin and promote cell regeneration. Not only this the lipsticks also includes rich butters and plant oils and contain no silicone, no petroleum dyes or artificial flavours.
Not only do they contain all natural ingredients they leave your lips with a great wash of colour that’s very flattering and not too over the top. If you don’t want a bold lip this is so the product for you. Both shades are super flattering and other shades are available if you want a matte finish rather than a shimmer in different colour options.
The lipsticks are so long lasting as well. I found I could get though the whole morning and one can of Diet Coke without having to reapply. It’s super comfortable and you can tell it contains butters and oils but without being too greasy.

I’m not a big fan of selfies so please excuse the pictures above of the lipsticks. The first picture is Icy Pink and the second is Grapefruit. My favourite is Grapefruit as this is the more natural one of the two and you guys know how much a love a nude neutral lip.

The beautiful design on the cardboard packaging on the lipsticks are pretty much the same as that of the palette with the lipstick bullet being a beautiful simple silver shade. This to me makes the lipstick look super luxurious and would add a touch of glam to any handbag or makeup bag.
The lipsticks retail at £9.95 and I will leave the link to the lipsticks below.

Until next time
