FFS BEAUTY SELF TANNING MOUSSE AND CLASSIC GLOW SET REVIEW

Regular readers to my blog may remember a while back that I reviewed the award winning cruelty free certified brand FFS Beauty razor subscription service and was very impressed with this sustainable brand as a whole.
FFS BEAUTY believe beauty should be effortless and provide a whole array of products that help us achieve this.
So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered that ffs beauty also produce tanning products.
I do love myself a sunless tan. I find I feel better when I have faked tanned and it’s so much safer than a real tan. So recently I have been trying out the tanning products from FFS beauty. In fact the brand kindly gifted me their Classic glow set to try out for review and I was only too happy to try it out!
The Classic glow set is available in two shades. The medium shade is perfect for lighter skin tones or for a subtle glow. The darker shade is perfect for darker skin tones or for a deeper holiday glow. I went for the darker shade which I’m so glad that I did as it worked out to be perfect for me.
So what’s in the kit!
The Classic kit includes everything that you need to get started on your sunless tan. Not only do you get a 200ml tanning mousse, you also get a luxury velvet tanning mitt and a kabuki brush. The packaging of the ffs tan is a beautiful lilac shade that follows onto the tanning mitt and the brush within the set. Like the razor, the products are beautifully packaged and this doesn’t go wasted on me as I appreciate beautiful packaging.
The tan itself contains natural ingredients that are kind to your skin whilst the packaging is made of recycled materials making it kind to the environment. So it’s a win win with the products and the packaging here.
So how do you achieve an effortless natural looking tan.
EXFOLIATE!
Well first you need to exfoliate and the brand can provide all the products you need to do this. This can be done using the FFS beauty Exfoliating mitt and Pre Shave Scrub . This makes your skin ready for tan application. The brand also recommend that you shave before you tan using your favourite FFS razor and Shaving cream .
MOISTURISE!
Afterwards (and before you start with the tan) The Shaving balm is perfect at providing deep hydration while nourishing and repairing your skin.
TAN!
Now it’s time for the tan. Using the super soft lilac tanning mitt applying the tan couldn’t be easier. The velvet tanning applicator mitt achieves an even streak free finish. The mitt can be washed and reused using warm soapy water and is perfect to be used along side the quick-drying, lightweight FFS tanning Mousse.
So now onto the FFS Self tanning Mousse. So a little bit of this mousse goes a very long way.
The coloured foam features a natural tanning agent and the formula blends easily for a streak-free finish and leaves skin soft & nourished.
The tan smells amazing as it’s infused with avocado & coconut fragrance. The scent lingers on your skin as well which is very pleasant and it’s good to use a fake tan that doesn’t smell of biscuits. Even though I do love a good biscuit I don’t want to smell like one.
The Kabuki tanning brush that is included in the set is perfect to avoid getting stained hands. It’s perfect for those hard to reach areas such as around your fingers, which is where I always have trouble with. The soft bristles lets you distribute your tan evenly and is perfect for buffing your tan into those difficult places. The tan dries pretty instantly without being sticky or greasy and goes on so evenly. I love this about the tan as you don’t have to wait around before dressing. I also love the fact that the kit does include the mitt and brush as these are amazing at spreading and buffering out the tan and you have everything you need to hand. After a few hours depending on your desired shade (4-6 hours) you can shower to reveal your developed tan and then you are all good to go!

The tan should last for around 5-7 days which is about normal. I would say this is about right. I like to do a full body tan every week and set a day aside to do this, so this for me is perfect. The tan fades gradually and moisturising daily and avoiding exfoliation (until you wish to reapply) helps to prolong the tan.
The tan has won a global makeup award for 2021 and FFS beauty were also the winner of the Best New Hair Removal Product in the Pure Beauty Awards in 2019. If this isn’t enough, all the products are not only award winning they are certified cruelty-free & a vegan formula.
