So the products are OLAY REGENERIST RETINOL 24 and VITAMIN C +AHA.
These are dubbed the power couple as if you use them hand in hand with each other (one in the morning and one in the evening) you get the maximum results to your skin.
The jars are very similar to each other. One is a stunning yellow and the other is purple in colour. I really enjoy the packaging even though they probably would have been better as glass jars which I’m sure they used to be but I’m not 100% sure. I prefer open jars like this rather than a pump as you can get every little bit out of the product.
So firstly I’m going to start with the day cream which is the VITAMIN C +AHA.
The super light gel cream promises instant absorption which I definitely agree with as the formula is so absorbent so goes into your skin pretty much straight away without leaving a greasy residue. This makes applying your makeup afterwards a breeze and this cream provides a great canvas for doing so.
It has a lovely scent, I would say citrusy and is a pleasure to use. I definitely agree that it does brighten skin instantly and promotes a more even skin tone within 14 days. My skin definitely looked a lot brighter using this cream and I really enjoy the glow that it gives you.
It also strengthens your skin barrier with a breakthrough formula that contains vitamin C, skin-loving Lactic Acid and Niacinamide and provides 24-hour hydration.
One thing I did do was to mix it into my matte foundation to make it lighter and more glowy for summer. I found this worked really well for a lighter summer makeup look
This cream is also available with a SPF 30 which I would definitely purchase next time.
So we have done our day time skincare now onto the night routine which comes in the form of a night cream.
The one that I have been loving is the OLAY REGENERIST RETINOL 24.
I’m a big fan of Retinol in my skincare so my skin is pretty used it already. I know skin does normally need time to get used to this ingredient but mine didn’t in this instance.
This is a lovely pot of cream that works it’s magic as we sleep by renewing skin cells overnight so you wake up to smooth and glowing skin. It helps to promote visibly smoother skin with a powerfully potent ingredient list including retinoid complex and Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) and hydrates skin for 24 hours with visible improvements in fine lines & wrinkles, smoothness, brightness, firming, dark spots, and pores.
I do suffer from age spots and after using this cream for 14 days I would say that they have been reduced as well as my deep wrinkles and pores.
This product is definitely worth a try and I would purchase this in a heartbeat
Both the products are available to buy from all leading drugstores and major supermarkets if you fancy trying them out for yourself. I know some are on offer at the moment so it’s best to shop around as some stores are offering these at half the retail price.
