MAYBELLINE SURREAL EXTENSIONS MASCARA TEIED AND TESTED!

If you have been following me for a while you may already know my love for a Maybelline mascara.
Since the release of Lash Sensational years ago and more recently the Sky High one I haven’t really used any other brand. I’ve always gone to repurchase a Maybelline one as I find that they are affordable and you know that you aren’t going to make any expensive mistakes.
So recently the brand introduced a new mascara to the collection. This one is called The Maybelline Surreal Extensions Mascara. This one is designed to give the look of having lash extensions from the comfort of your own home. It has an effortless surreal effect but on your real lashes with no costly trips to the salon.
The mascara is a buildable formula and not only promises to lasts up to 24 hours, but has a brand new hybrid technology that works to add length and volume, too. This is thanks to the extended helix brush working different sized fibres to coat each and every lash.
So I thought that I would give it a try and share my thoughts with you just in case you were thinking of trying it.
Firstly how pretty is the packaging. I love the shade of lilac that the product comes in. The silver label in the middle makes the product look super pretty. It does however make the product quite difficult to take photos of as it’s mirrored and very reflective… but I digress. The packaging is super pretty and makes it stand out in a crowd. You guys know that I’m a great fan of pretty packaging so this hasn’t gone wasted on me.
So now onto the product itself.. The brush is super easy to use. I love the bristles and find that even though the mascara wand is quite thick it’s easy to control and you can get to all the smaller corner lashes of your eye.
So like I said the product does promise to last up to 24 hours. This is a very bold statement and one that I’m not sure on. All I can say is it did last me the full day with no smudges or fibre fallout. Maybelline mascaras never do smudge on me in fact even when I get my eyes wet ( I do tend to be an emotional person) my mascara always tends to stay put. That’s another reason that I love Maybelline so much! I have heard other people say this mascara does smudge on them but I didn’t find this happened to me on any occasion whilst wearing it.

I would say that it does provide length to my lashes but didn’t compromise on volume. It doesn’t go clumpy either and separates each lash beautifully.
