I've been spending again this time on the new palette from Collection. I love the "eyes uncovered" Palettes from Collection and have 3 of them already, so when I saw this I knew I had to try it.
Of course being me I didn't stop there I also purchased other things but I will stick to the palette here.
Collection was one of the first makeup brands I ever used in the 90s when it was known as collection 2000. It was always seemed as a cheap starter brand for younger people, but in recent years it's had a major overhaul and has got rid of its "cheap" image which appeals to all ages.
At £3.99 it seems a fair price for a 6 eyeshadow pallete and if you get it on a 3 for 2 offer it's even better value.

Firstly let's look at the packaging. It's simple cardboard and very lightweight and maybe cheaper looking than plastic packaging but the simple style fits nicely into a makeup bag and ideal for on the go like handbags or travel, where sometimes you don't want to carry a big heavy palette that you won't use all the colours.
Looking past the packaging it does come with a little double ended sponge applicator which I think is a plus especially for on the go. I do like using a sponge applicator for eyeshadow as I find it easier than a brush but it's personal preference here.
The colours go so well together and even though they don't have colour names t's the middle two red tone shadows that drew me to the palette here.

The lighter shades are not very pigmented but the dark ones give off quite good colourage (if that's a word). The colours work so well together and did last last all day when applied over the top of an eye primer, the one I use is the Makeup Revolution eye primer.
One thing to look for the middle orange shade it's beautiful and definitely the stand out colour of the whole palette.
If you have tried this or any other collection palette, please let me know what you think in the comments below.
Happy Collection shopping,
