JULY SUMMER FAVOURITES

July 26, 2019

Hey guys, and thank you for stopping by.
So how did July come to the end so quickly?  It seems only yesterday that it began.
I for one have had a lovely month. When July started I was still on my Summer holidays. ( we went to Mallorca for a week and it was the quickest week, like ever!!) and the rest of this month we have been enjoying the British sunshine! Now when I normally write something like this, big rain clouds are usually upon us. Let’s hope this month is different.
As I’m writing this I’m sitting out in my garden and not a rain cloud in the sky.
As always I’ve been trying out lots of different products that I know you are going to love just as much as me. Like always some have been gifted but I will always mention this. I haven’t been asked to post any of the gifted items, I just really like the item.
So firstly let’s start off with Skincare as I’m kinda obsessed with that at the moment.
Like I said I went away at the start of the month and the Sunshine played havoc with my skin. I blame myself really because when I’m at home I usually pop on lots of skincare and really take care of my skin. While I was away I didn’t really have all my products.
The double cleanse went out the window. My pores became enlarged and my pigmentation got so bad that you could see less of my face. I was a mass of age sun spots! So help was needed.
Obviously, since I have returned home I’ve reached for the Glycolic Acid and I’ve been really enjoying the Sanctuary Spa Daily Glow Radiance Tonic. This was gifted months ago and I didn’t reach for it as much as I have done this month. It’s smells really nice and is really helping my skin, so all good here.
Another item I’ve been loving is the Collosol Paris Eau De Lait. This was also gifted but it smells so good and really suits my skin so wanted to give it a little shout out. I did write a post about this a few weeks back and I’m still enjoying it.

So now onto makeup. While I was away I tried using the PS Primark Matte Full Coverage Foundation £5. I have used this product before, but they changed the packaging and I wasn’t sure if they had changed the formula. Because my skincare was so bad it effected my judgement on the foundation. To cut a long story short I thought the formula had been changed and I hated it. As time went on and my skin improved I actually started to love it again and now it’s made it onto my favourites. It has been compared to the Estée Lauder double wear foundation. So if you are a fan of the Estée Lauder product it’s worth giving this one a try.
I have also discovered the English Mineral Makeup Company. This makeup is amazing. I have written a post about this as it was a gifted item so I will leave the link to this below.

Another little Primark find is the PS blusher. This is £1.50 and the pigmentation is amazing. At that price you can’t go wrong.

Another Beauty find I love is the Maybelline Tattoo Brow. I know I have said before that the Revolution version of this works just as well for half the price but since using this product again recently I’ve changed my mind. I don’t know if they have made this better or the Revolution one not so good but at the moment I would definitely rate this over the Revolution one hands down.
So not to diss Revolution altogether the packaging on the new pro base range is amazing. I love the shiny gold leopard print packaging. The hydro powder is amazing but I’m not to keen on the translucent pressed powder as this was definitely not translucent.
I love setting sprays and the PS Matte one is amazing. This costs £4 for a big bottle and even though your face gets completely soaked it does dry down. I wouldn’t say your face is matte afterwards but it definitely sets your makeup really well. I definitely would recommend.
Onto the nail varnish. It has to be Leighton Denny ( no surprise there!) I will leave a link to this as well as this was a gifted item.
ALL ABOUT LEIGHTON DENNY!
Barry M is a cheaper alternative to this and I do love this as well.

I also want to give a little shoutout to my new Mac Lipstick! It’s called Life In Sepia. I literally own 4 Mac lipsticks and this one is my favourite. The shade is amazing and I love the packaging. It lasts all day and if they weren’t so expensive I would buy a Mac lipstick in every shade going!!!

Now onto fragrances. I’m loving the Michael Bublé by Invitation Rose Gold Edition. It’s my new favourite. I was asked to try out the original and at the same time was sent a smaller sample of the Rose Gold Edition. It smells so heavenly and I’m definitely going to purchase a larger bottle in time.

Shower foams really seem to have caught on now and I for one don’t know how it’s taken so long. I used to use the Imperial Leather Foam-burst years ago and they seemed like the only budget brand to sell shower gel in the form of a foam. The price does seem to put me off them as they can be a little pricey, but if you can get them on an offer it’s really worth giving them a try. Another bath product I have been loving is the Imperial Leather Orange Blossom and Argan Oil Spa Escapes bath cream. I do love a good bath cream and this one is on offer on Superdrug at the moment so it’s a complete winner.

I have decided that this will be my last favourites post for the time being. These type of posts don’t seem as popular as my other posts. Obviously if you guys want them I will bring them back, as I love reading what other people are loving, so am open to feedback.
Until next time
