LEIGHTON DENNY BACK TO NATURE, THE WINGS COLLECTION AND COFFEE BREAK MANICURE

August 30, 2020

Do you have a favourite luxury nail brand. Mine has to LEIGHTON DENNY.
Regular readers to my blog may remember my love for the brand as I’ve done posts about the products in the past.
It’s one of those nail brands that I can get away with wearing for days without any chips to the end of my nails.
My nails are quite short at the moment and to be honest are in need of some care and definitely a coffee break manicure which is one of the products I want to talk about.
First of all let me tell you a bit about the brand as I love a good back story.
ABOUT THE BRAND
The Leighton Denny brand was formed in 2005 by Leighton Denny MBE, who on the previous years of 2001, 2002, 2003 had won British Nail Technician of the year. In fact he was that good he was actually voted into the hall of fame as a judge in 2004.
Since 2005 the brand has evolved into one of the worlds leading award winning brands available. The company uses advanced technologies and carefully chosen ingredients to create driven formations to include into all their products. That includes skincare for nails ( and feet, let’s not miss out those) not just nail polishes.
If you have followed me for a while it won’t come as any surprise that I’m a fan of the brand and always love talking about the new products that the range have to offer so when I was kindly gifted some products I couldn’t wait to share them with you. So I’m going to start off which the single shades.

LEIGHTON DENNY BACK TO NATURE COLLECTION
Many of us are becoming more chemical aware and prefer to go for natural plant based products if we have a choice.
So Leighton Denny introduce to us the new 2020 'Back to Nature Collection. This collection has  a low chemical plant-based formulation.
This new formula has a 75% plant origin but provides the same application and performance as previous nail polishes.
It comes with a new flat brush which makes application super easy and gives off just the right amount of product onto your nail. The product is vegan as well so another plus to the range.

The products ingredients are impressive as well, with ingredients such as potato, corn, wheat and manioc that replace classical solvents, plasticizers and nitrocellulose. Marine bio-ceramics, rich in magnesium and trace elements are also included to work along side natural nails and help extend polish wear.
From left to right Snapdragon, Cat Mint and White Sage
With 6 different colours in the collection including Cat Mint, which is a beautiful grey lavender shade (This has to be my favourite and the colour I’m obsessed with at the moment!) Snapdragon, which is a creamy bright coral pink and White Sage which is a soft grey cream shade.
The other shades include Peony, Foxglove and Forest

Each of the shades retail at £12 each and are perfect for this time of year. They would make a great addition to everyone’s collection and definitely colours that I would use. Not only that they are so easy to apply. I found I needed two coats and are long lasting. Like I said my nails are quite short at the moment and my varnish does tend to last longer the shorter my nails are but I would say you could get about a week without chipping depending on your job and nail length.

THE WINGS COLLECTION
The Wings Collection makes an ideal gift for either yourself or a loved one.
The collection contains 3 mini 5ml bottles of the most beautiful Iridescent shades.
Adding to the brands exciting and popular Butterfly Wings collection the brand have added two more similar shades in smaller bottles.
From left to right Butterfly Wings, Dragonfly Wings and Firefly Wings
The new shades include Firefly Wings which is a delicate peach with superfine fire particles and a light shimmering iridescence.
Dragonfly Wings which is the most delicate fresh, hint of blue combined with an ethereal holographic effect.
And the original Butterfly Wings which is the palest pink with a luminous purple iridescence.
Each of these shades not only look beautiful on their own but look amazing over colours. For example over pure white colours or darker shades to really switch up your nail look.
Firefly Wings used with Snapdragon
Like all the shades they are so long lasting and I would say you could get a weeks wears out of them again depending on your nails and job.
Each of the shades come in mini sized bottles making them perfect to try out and pop into your handbag for on the go application. You can buy the butterfly shade in a 12ml bottle as well for £12 which I will leave a link for below.
I think this set would make an amazing gift for someone as we are starting to think of Christmas.
The set of 3 costs £12 which when you consider one 5ml bottle normally costs £6 each it’s like you are getting one for free.

COFFEE BREAK MANICURE
If you are stuck for time the Coffee Break Manicure might just be the kit for you.
The kit includes everything you need to chic up your nails in next to no time.
The kit include The Mini Crystal Nail File, Slick Tips, ( Which I have used before!) A Hoof Stick and Luminosity ( Which I am excited to try!) to brighten and shine.
The collection also includes expert guidance and the kit contains all the tools you will ever need to make your nails wonderfully beautiful
The Mini Crystal Nail File comes with a 25 year performance guarantee. Even though it’s Mini it’s the perfect size for on the go filing and shaping.
The Leighton Denny Slick Tips Hydrating Cuticle Oil is perhaps the easiest oil I’ve ever used. It’s so amazing in its own right.
Firstly it smells really nice. I can’t quite put my finger on what it smells like but I want to say like lemons if not citrusy of some sort. The product comes in a easy to use brush on bottle making application not messy at all.
The oil soaks in really quickly, after you gently massage it in making it’s a pleasure to use.
The product contains JOJOBA OIL which is rich in Vitamin A,B and E. This helps to moisturise and recondition dry nails. It’s amazing with cuticles and when used with the Hoof Stick included in the kit, it does the most perfect job of pushing them back and keeping your nails looking tidy.
Luminosity can be used as a topcoat which looks amazing or as a colour correcting base coat as well making it ideal to be used over a nail colour or worn alone.
It gives your nails the most gorgeous shine and look and it’s so beautiful. It accelerates drying time and also helps with the cuticles. The kit is priced at £18, which when you think how much each of the four items would be priced on their own it seems like such a good deal.

I have left all the links under each item just in case you fancy treating yourself or a loved one.
Until next time
