As part of self care month what better way than to look after yourself than to look after your surroundings. One way we can achieve this is by making sure our homes smell lush.So I have to admit I do have a bit of a candle obsession. I love my happy place smelling amazing. As well as candles I love a good wax melt and I am always excited to try out new smells from different brands. So today I want to talk to you about the brand GLAMWAX
The back story of the brand started in the founder Christie’s kitchen of her small apartment in Exeter Devon in May 2019.
Christie loved wax melts and decided that the package and branding of the ones that she had come across were a bit ordinary and not too much to write home about. She wanted a product and brand that represented her and her personality, glamorous, girly and fun. After sharing her products on Instagram, Christie’s Glamwax business took off really quickly after she received 150 orders in one week. Which is pretty impressive. Demand was so high for Christie’s products within just two months she had to leave her full time job and Glamwax was born.
From the success of the Wax Melts the brand now produce exciting new products such as candles, Reed diffusers and bubble bath. Everything for the perfect self care package.
So I have been kindly gifted two of the Glamwax Soy Wax Melts to try out. Seachelles and Strawberry Bon Bon.
The entire range of Soy Wax melts offer smells that are either fruity, fresh, fun to perfume. In fact there is a fragrance for everyone.
So onto the Wax Melts… You can smell the melts before you even burn them which is a great selling point for me. You can choose to melt either one or two hearts into your tea light or electric burner and the scent fills the entire room.
I love the fact that there is no mess with these wax melts you just break off a heart chunk as and when you need it.
The scents are really strong and I really wish you could smell these though this post because they smell so beautiful. The scent release is a lot more intense than a candle due to it being wick less and within a couple of minutes of the product being used the scent is super strong.
Out of the two my favourite was Seachelles. This for me would smell amazing whilst enjoying a hot soak in a bath after a hard day. The scents of SEACHELLES are bergamot, orange & soft peach leading to a heart of coconut and jasmine on a creamy base of amber, creamy vanilla and almond. If you enjoy these scents (like I do!) this is the perfect wax melt for you.
STRAWBERRY BON BON is a very fruity fragrance and smells perfect for the summer months ahead. It contains strawberries on a sweet sugar and vanilla base. Perfect for you fruity loving people out there. Both are perfect if you want to fill your house with beautiful smells as both don’t just fill one roam you can smell them all around the house as well.
Glamwax also use luxury soy wax which is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. They only use the best quality fragrance oils and use the highest percentage legally permitted to ensure our wax melts are strongly scented. The wax melts are suitable for vegans and cruelty free which is always important. These melts cost £5 per pack and if you use one segment at a time should last for approximately 6 days or 50 hours burn time. This to me is amazing value for such a great smelling product.
